Gypsum
Gypsum is an abundant, naturally occurring mineral used predominantly in an agricultural setting to promote crop growth by assisting to improve the condition of heavy clay soils and assist in water penetration. Gypsum can be spread over clay soils but is more effective if dug into the soil. Gypsum changes the way clay soils behave, improving drainage and soil structure, making soil nutrients more readily available to plants.
